Happy New Year!
Happy New Year to all my subscribers! Apologies for my absence. It’s been quite a tumultuous couple of weeks. In addition to the busy holiday gatherings, and loving having all three of my children in the house at the same time, I had 3 basement floods to contend with (yes it flooded a third time after my last post!). And the icing on the cake—I’ve been sick with COVID for the first time ever this past week. Thanks to all the pokes I’ve received and some Paxlovid, it was fairly mild, though I continue to have a sore throat, and the first few days of the sore throat were truly epic—especially for someone who can’t remember when he last had a sore throat.
With all that behind me, the sun is shining, and the weather forecast calls for a string of dry days ahead. I’m driving my youngest back to college today, and will soon settle into a new year of writing and Substacking. Thanks to everyone for offering feedback, moral (and monetary) support this past year. I’m so looking forward to continuing to explore the many, varied things this venue has given me license to address—and to expand Journey Casts in new and compelling ways in the coming year. As always, please feel free to drop me a line.
