Arnie -- beautifully expressed! I have the same experience these days with my younger daughter Charlotte whenever we go running together. Once was a time when I could routinely run 6-minute miles; now it's more like a 10-minute pace. (No more marathons!) Meanwhile, Char is galloping on ahead of me, although for most of our outings she patiently runs at my old man pace. (Natalie has not been quite so active, as she is recovering from knee surgery).
