Thanks, Lynne. For the iPhone it helps to get an app that allows you to set the shutter speed. I’ve used “yamera,” though it’s a bit glitchy. Or just shoot in low light so the phone automatically goes into slow shutter speed. Most of the photos I’ve taken in this way are a blurry mess, but occasionally one works. I kind of like that you never quite know what’s going to emerge. Adobe Lightroom helps a lot in “finding” the image. Before I started paying for Lightroom, a free photo editor I liked was Dark Table.
This is fascinating Arnie. I was a keen photographer for years but gave it all up for an iPhone, it does the job (the best camera is the one you have with you, and all that) but its sharp detail often disappoints as a representation of what I’ve seen and felt outside. This exploration of yours invites me to try a few things out myself on my phone. That photo of the white tree standing out is sublime. I love the fact that producing a photo elicits the same delicious feeling that comes with a creative writing moment. I want some of that!
Love these photos!
Thank you!
I am so excited for you and love the pictures; you’re sharing the effort. Can’t wait to see more!
